Stranger Things & Black Widow Star On Films – Deadline

The Film That Lit My Fuse is a Deadline video series that aims to provide an antidote to headlines about industry uncertainty by swinging the conversation back to the creative ambitions, formative influences, and inspirations of some of today’s great screen artists.

Every installment asks the same five questions. Today’s subject is actor David Harbour, who is currently starring in Marvel’s Black Widow and HBO Max’s Steven Soderbergh feature No Sudden Move.

Harbour is a versatile and arresting actor, who has assembled an impressive credits list that includes Brokeback Mountain, Revolutionary Road, State Of Play, and Hellboy. He is perhaps best known for playing police chief Jim Hopper in Netflix’s soaraway success story Stranger Things, earning him two Emmy nominations. Production is close to wrapping on Season 4 of the sci-fi saga.

In The Film That Lit My Fuse, Harbour reflects on the films that inspired him, not least Kenneth Branagh’s Henry V. Check out the full interview above.
