Fans of Bridgerton were definitely quite shaken to learn that Regé-Jean Page is not coming back for a second season of the period piece while at the same time being intrigued about what the future holds for him.

After all, Page rocketed to fame after appearing in the Netflix series and now is bound to have many more opportunities.
So, there is no surprise that rumors have been going around he might have landed a huge role – James Bond!
While chatting with The Mirror, he addressed these speculations, saying that ‘Ah, the ‘B’ word. I think that if you’re British, and you do anything of note other people take notice of, people will start talking about that. I think that is fairly normal, and I am flattered to be in the category of Brits that people have noticed. Nothing more—or less—than that’

As you know, Page plays the Duke of Hastings in the wildly popular show and he’s definitely a fan favorite.
He also mentioned during that same interview that he hasn’t actually planned too much into the future when it comes to his career after Briderton, the reason being the pandemic, of course.
‘I think the concept of having plans at this moment in history is mildly hilarious. So I’ve given up on making them.’
This update comes after, on April 2, the official Bridgerton Instagram account shared that news that Page is not coming back for another season.
‘We’ll miss Simon’s presence onscreen, but he will always be a part of the Bridgerton family,’ the announcement reads.
