Odion Ighalo Reveals Why He Hasn’t Scored Enough Goals In Egypt
Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, has given understanding into why he has not been scoring objectives for the group at the progressing African Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt.
Ighalo clarified that he’s not getting enough passes from his partners, henceforth his powerlessness to score more objectives in the progressing competition.
Talking with journalists, Ighalo, who scored the solitary objective in Nigeria‘s triumph over Burundi, focused on that as a striker, one can’t do much on the off chance that he doesn’t get passes.
“You can count how many through passes I have got in the matches and if you don’t get passes, there is not much you can do as a striker,” he said.
Speaking on the round of 16 game, Ighalo said they have done enough work to beat any team in the competition.
“We are taking every game one at a time. We are not promising anything. I like it when we are written off. We have been working hard and everything will be different from the second round,” he said.
