Gabriel Luna Shares ‘The Last Of Us’ Photo Featuring Pedro Pascal

Filming on the HBO series has started!

Gabriel Luna has shared the first behind-the-scenes photo from HBO’s The Last of Us that features our first look at Pedro Pascal as Joel with filming now underway.

HBO’s upcoming The Last of Us series might be one of the most anticipated video game adaptations of all-time. The adaptation might also be the best with Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin writing the series alongside the original game’s creative director, Neil Druckmann. Over the past few months, the show has assembled its cast, which notably includes Pedro Pascal as Joel, Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey as Ellie, and Ghost Rider actor Gabriel Luna as Tommy.

On Instagram, Gabriel Luna shared the first look at The Last of Us series with a behind-the-scenes selfie of himself, Pedro Pascal, and Nico Parker, who was just announced as Sarah. Those who have played the game may already recognize which scene the series is already shooting as production gets underway. You can check out the behind-the-scenes photo shared by Luna below.

The original video game centers on the relationship between a smuggler named Joel and 14-year-old Ellie, the latter of whom may be the key to curing the deadly pandemic that resulted in the post-apocalypse world of the game. Hired to smuggle Ellie out of a quarantine zone, Joel finds himself relying on the teenage girl just as much as she relies on him as they fight to survive on their journey across the United States. The HBO adaptation will cover the events of the first game, with the second game potentially surviving as the basis for additional content.
